Office Float/Receptionist

Job Title: Office Float/Receptionist
City: Jacksonville

Employee Type: Full Time or Part Time
Scheduled Days: Monday through Saturday

 

In this position, you’ll provide patient support and complete general office tasks.

Responsibilities :

  • Performs reception duties
  • Schedules appointments
  • Monitors patient information and other practice data
  • Processes patient payments
  • Provides daily operational support
  • Maintains integrity of medical records

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of general office tasks, confidentiality, filing and medical terminology
  • Knowledge of related OSHA guidelines and requirements
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to act in a professional manner
  • Ability to type, to file, to use a multi-line telephone, computer, fax, copier, and adding machine.
  • Bilingual helpful. 

 

Medical Assistant

Job Title: Medical Assistant 
City: Jacksonville

Scheduled Days: Monday through Saturday

 

Requirements:

  • AAMA Certified medical assistant (CMA), American Medical Technologist Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Center for Competency: National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or National Allied Health Test Registry: Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA).
  • Certification in CPR within 90 days of start (must stay current.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
  • High School Diploma (or GED) plus one year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of exam, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards.
  • Ability to read, understand and respond to detailed oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to react and communicate clearly, calmly and effectively.
  • Working knowledge of sterile techniques and special procedures that are applicable to work performed.
  • Working knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering routine and special treatments to patients.
  • Working knowledge of sanitation, personal hygiene and basic health and safety precautions applicable for work in a clinic setting.
  • Working knowledge of infection control procedures and safety precautions.
  • Perform care according to age specific competencies.
  • Daily clinic preparation process; registration, scheduling, charge posting, order entry.
  • Able to document and communicate pertinent information.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and clinic staff. Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Receive an annual influenza vaccine unless granted a medical or religious exemption.

Job Description:

Performs routine delegated clinical patient care supportive duties in the health system medical practice. Assists medical staff in the examination and treatment of patients and ensures efficient office operations.
